I’ve heard Roth IRAs are amazing for tax-free growth, but how do they actually work? Are they worth it if I’m not sure about my future tax bracket? What’s the catch?
Recently, I've been pondering retirement, unsure if my 401(k) and IRA will provide a stable future. I've also put $800K into the stock market, encountering fluctuations with limited gains. i need an approach that will align with my risk tolerance and financial goals
Bullish or bearish, AI stocks will still dominate 2025, even beyond. Why I prefer NVIDIA is that they are better placed to maintain long-term growth potential, and provide a platform for other AI companies. I know someone who has made more than 200% from NVIDIA. I'll also take these other recommendations you made.
So how do I GET an IRA? Right now I have a 401k provided by my insurer, which I contribute to only to get the employer match. Then I have a standard taxable investment account that I opened myself which I do most of my investments in. I keep hearing people say I should be doing at least part of that in an IRA but I don't get how to actually open an IRA. Do I just go to a bank and open an IRA? Is this like a 401k where the employer has to offer it?
We should learn about The Intelligent Investor first, if we want to invest anything..❤
How is the high yield 5% of 10k just $50 a year?? Its way more.
A Financial Planner told me Saving at least 15% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. How can one take advantage of compound interest and potentially grow your retirement savings/net-worth to about $3M over time?
Crypto sounds more appealing. Higher returns
I honestly didnt know what this was until this year (29yrs old) I feel so behind lol growing up poor I was taught only to make alot and nothing else about finances like investing or these kinds of things such as an IRA. I make great money and would love to build generational wealth beyond the traditional income. This vid was so helpful! I'm also in an investing group and crypto as well as hysa. Soaking up every single thing! If anyone has more recommendations I'd be interested and would very much appreciate it🫶🏻💖
You work for 42yrs to have $2m in your retirement, Meanwhile some people are putting just $20k in a meme coin for just few months and now they are multi millionaires I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life and will see the need to work an adviser.
Investing in a Roth IRA is a great option because it's funded with after-tax dollars, allowing your contributions to grow tax-free over time. When you retire and start taking money out, you won’t owe taxes on your withdrawals, helping you hold onto more of your savings. I personally retired with $5 million.
I just turned 50, and I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed about retiring on my pension. I've got about £250k in my pension pot, but with inflation and rising living costs, I'm really not sure it'll cover my needs. I'm scared of outliving it.I'm already retired, but I've been reading up on Roth IRAs and honestly, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I have around £150k sitting in my traditional IRA, and I'm not sure if converting it to a Roth is a smart move at this stage.
I know another IRA
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
You don't need to be "over" 50 to take advantage of the higher contribution amount. You can do it beginning in January of the year you turn 50.
IRA = Individual Retirement Arrangement (your definition is a common mistake)
I just turned 44 and awfully late to investing with barely any portfolio except my 401k, I have a decent amount of cash saved up and with inflation currently soaring AGAIN, I'm getting worried about retirement, my intention is to retire at 55. How best do I maximize my savings of over $220k
This video just answered all my questions , awesome 👌
Really thats a shitty return. $700 on $10000 isn't nothing
Im 36 should i open a roth ira? Coz my current job they don't have 401k
Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.
Social Security is important for many seniors, but it’s also crucial to plan for retirement with smart investments. Diversifying your investments helps grow wealth over time. It’s never too early to start saving and investing for a secure future. I'm 63 and my husband is 65. We’re both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debt. We live frugally and earn monthly passive income, which makes our early retirement possible.
34 to late to start?
2:11 that nest looks like a hairy scrotum sack.
I have 35% of my capital investments in an IRA, 25% in index funds, and the balance spread across other investment accts totalling over $250k. I took a big hit in Q2, 2023. Right now i am just looking for ways to recover in 2024.
I recently adjusted my Roth IRA to 50% in SCHD, 25% in SCHX, and 25% in SCHG. For my Roth 401k, I went with 70% in Vanguard's S&P 500 Index, 20% in the Vanguard Growth Index, and 10% in the Vanguard International Index. My goal is to grow my $350k to over $1 million within the next three years.
So whats the fricking point of them
