  1. Another great benefit for Venture X is that you can get 4 authorized users with no fee. They get free lounge access also. My daughter, son-in-law, my wife and I have gone to the Dulles lounge so many times that we have gotten the value from getting the card.

  2. This was one of the most thorough and user-focused reviews I’ve seen—appreciate how you tied every benefit back to real-world examples. With so many cards trying to impress with fluff, it's refreshing to see clarity on how to actually extract value. Anyone else already using this combo for their travel setup?

  3. I always question if the card company travel site really provides the best price. Although it looks like VentureX is “giving you $5” to keep their card, I have a feeling that they are making up the $5 by slightly inflating the cost of flights on their site. For example, Expedia is $500 for the flight and CapitalOne Travel site is $515 for the same flight. So technically you paid $10 more for the flight.

  4. I've never understood the Bilt hype. Most places(that I know of) accept credit cards to pay rent in chicago. Why would i use that? I make almost 4k in points a month with no yearly caps on my double cash, were as the bilt card gives me 1 point and I also gotta use it 5 times to actually get the points back to kick in. I feel bilt has paid to promote this card as something special.

  5. You don’t need a bunch of credit cards, and their is no best card if not paid in full. My score is 830 and my best interest rate is 29.99% so I never carry a balance. I really would like to see more videos of the danger of credit cards debt.

  6. I was BLESSED by the Amex gods and got a mail flyer for a 175k SUB on the Platinum, followed immediately by a 100k SUB on the Gold. Signed up for both back to back and claimed both of them. Probably the luckiest I’ll ever get with Credit Cards.

  7. Another great thing about the WF credit cards is that the reward points can be used as cash back for statement balance at 1CPP, which makes it friendly for those who dont travel a lot. Not a lot of banks do 1CPP for cash backs

  8. Dont use Wells Fargo if you soend alot of time internationally. I've had them lock online access 2 or 3 times during extended trips overseas. I xould only unblock it by going to a branch. I closed my accounts.

  9. The Wells Fargo autograph has only one travel partner for hotels. It has choice, but you get less value if you just paid cash instead of points even with the 2x transfer.

Is good for international flights or for a cash back card.

  10. Is it worth gettinga whole credit card for travel points if I don't travel often? I'm planning a trip to Japan next year and thinking about getting a new credit card for travel points to help reduce costs. What card would you recommend?

  11. BILT's 100k rent limit isnt enough to justify choosing another card if the argument is the other cards charge a fee. Given rent these days at over 1000/mo essily (2-3k if to have family and in LA/NY/SF) its not worth it just to get that card when there are better values for other things with other cards.

    Airline wise, notihng stands out.

Hotel is great but that's about it.

  12. Oooo the Wells Fargo autograph might be a good alternative to the CSP, which I just downgraded because it just wasn’t worth it to me to have it when I have Bilt. Finally a travel credit not required through the portal!!!

  13. Thought that maybe the Altitude Connect might get a shout out for the cashback crowd. No annual fee and 4x fuel and travel multiplier booking directly. 5x through a portal, but the 4x is solid. No, the points don't transfer into anything but cash. But for trains, buses, cruises…and don't forget fuel…it's pretty solid. No foreign transaction fees, trip protection, $100 TSA reimbursement. No annual fee (again).

I find myself running Amtrak up and down to Chicago a few times a year. I take a cruise every year (and drive there). I book my hotels directly (usually stay at Drury Inns). And if my wife and I happen to fly once a year, we get lounge access both ways for that trip.

Yeah, the Connect doesn't create the value of a transferable points card. Yeah, we only get four Priority Pass certificates a year. But for the infrequent flyer and for those that prefer a no annual fee, cash back option. I think it goes pretty hard. Especially since my daily commute to work is about sixty-five miles round trip. Having a travel card that does my off-travel time doubling as my dedicated fuel card kinda rules.

  14. I would love to redeem points/miles for a business class flight, but when you have a family of four, then it becomes too steep. I guess I'll be sticking with hotel redemtions for now.

  15. The VX is my favorite card. Love the 10x miles on hotels. Can not wait to use the lounge access and travel credit for upcoming trip. Already used Global Entry credit!

You sold me on this! Have had it for 2 months!
